The Jolly Fryer has been a feature of Isle of Wight villages for well over twenty years. It's a family run business - Andy, his wife Caroline and recently their son and heir Jacob. We also have Chrissy, a most welcome part of the team who, despite the mayhem going on around her manages to keep her cool whilst all around are losing theirs.


We are proud of the fact that we hold the maximum, 5, rating in the local authorities' "Scores On Doors" scheme and have done so since the scheme's inception. This scheme is not only about the part you see - it's heavily accented on what you don't, and what you see when you visit us is only a small part of what makes up our business.


In all the years we've been trading we've resisted the urge to cut corners. We're no experts in business - we simply believe in offering what we'd expect from others. That means value for money but best quality - corners should not be cut. To this end we use only fresh Maris Piper potatoes, peeled and cut daily, the best skinless Cod and Haddock and all cooked freshly to order as required. We use Palm oil, good for vegetarians and the best for the job, changed on a regular basis to ensure the highest quality.

Only by doing this can we expect the final product to be as good as we can get.
